Zoonotic disease in Scotland, 2017

Zoonoses are diseases and infections that are naturally transmissible between vertebrate animals and humans.
This report summarises laboratory confirmed cases of selected zoonotic infections reported in Scotland, excluding the main gastro-intestinal pathogens which are covered in detail in separate surveillance reports.
Erratum: An error has been noted in the figures for hydatid disease for 2015 – 2017. Previous data contained duplicate reports. This has been amended.
