Monitoring surgical wounds for infection: Information for the patients.

The Scottish Surveillance of Healthcare Associated Infection Programme (SSHAIP) is a national programme which measures the rate of surgical site infection following different types of operations. All acute and independent hospitals in Scotland currently take part in the national programme.
This leaflet explains surgical site infection as well as the national programme in Scotland. A version for commercial printing is also available to download.
