Monitoring surgical wounds for infection: Information for the patients.

The Scottish Surveillance of Healthcare Associated Infection Programme (SSHAIP) is a national programme which measures the rate of surgical site infection following different types of operations. All acute and independent hospitals in Scotland currently take part in the national programme.
